MCALLEN, TX – Soar through Hogwarts once again and experience the wondrous world of everyone’s favorite wizard as CineConcerts presents Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with Symphony, live in concert June 6-7 at the McAllen Performing Arts Center.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series, which includes stops in 11 countries and 44 cities across the globe, will dazzle audiences with the magical soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in its entirety as the movie plays simultaneously on a 40-foot high definition screen.

Each song will transport audiences back to their first encounter with the 11-year-old wizard-in-training and best of all listen-in on the many twists and turns of the very first Quidditch match or the first time aboard a broomstick.

Songs will be brought to life by the symphonic orchestra from the Universidad Autonomo de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey (The Autonomous University of Nuevo León) led by Jose Isidoro Ramos. The UANL symphony, considered one of the most prestigious orchestra’s in Mexico, has accompanied some of the most famous soloists in the genre throughout its 57-year trajectory.

Conductor Jose Isidoro Ramos has held multiple roles at UANL, the largest university in Nuevo Leon and has specialized in orchestral management for several years.

“The magic of the Harry Potter movie series, which transported its audiences to Platform 9 ¾, Hogwarts, and Diagon Alley, among other fantastical locales, was enhanced by the brilliantly moving score by John Williams that set the tone for a truly enchanting cinematic experience,” said City of McAllen Mayor Jim Darling.  “To hear this music played live by our friends in the student symphony orchestra of the University of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico, while ‘Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone’ plays on the big screen, will be a concert presentation that can’t be missed.  Get your tickets to the show that will delight wizards, witches and Muggles alike.”

Ticket prices range from $48 to $123 plus fees. Tickets are available via ticketmaster.com or at the McAllen Convention Center Box Office open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
